AAPI Heritage Month Events and Resources

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month – a month dedicated to celebrating the history and many contributions the AAPI communities have made, in our country and the world. It’s important to acknowledge, learn and celebrate during this time. We’ve put together a list of activities and events for you to explore this month.

Things to Do

Asian Festival (Expanded Virtual Version)

Saturday May 28 – Sunday May 29
Traditionally held in Franklin Park, this festival promotes the importance of cultural diversity in our community. The event will be held virtually. Join the stream to celebrate Asian cultures!

AAPI Heritage Gala Cincinnati 2022

Saturday May 14, 6:30pm-midnight
The Asian American Coalition of Ohio (AACO) is hosting Ohio’s first AAPI Heritage Celebration and Awards Gala. The event with allow the local community to experience music and dance performances, recognize AAPI contributions, and appreciate the beautiful result of diversity in our communities.

AAPI Heritage Month Trivia (Bar None Games)

For the entire month of May, Bar None Games is offering daily trivia at 2pm to honor AAPI Heritage Month. Schedule a trivia game for your family or workplace – learn some new things and get competitive!

Virtual Cooking Classes: Thai Food and Dumpling Making

Cooking is a great way to learn about and enjoy other cultures. Confetti is a company that provides meal kits and classes for up to 495 people. The classes are $110 per person, but if that’s a little pricey, they offer a bring your own ingredients option.
