Is it Too Late to Get the Flu Shot?

Joe Gastaldo, MD, infectious disease specialist, shares whether or not it’s too late to get a flu shot.

Flu season is here. According to the CDC, Ohio has high level influenza-like illness. It’s not too late to get your flu shot. Remember, getting your flu shot protects you from severe disease resulting in hospitalizations and death.

And of course, you can get your COVID-19 Booster at the same time as your flu shot. Remember, after you get a vaccine, you generally don’t get the full immune protection for about 10 to 14 days.
