What Are Current COVID Home Isolation Rules?

If you get diagnosed with COVID, how should you go about wearing masks and getting out of your home? Joe Gastaldo, MD, System Medical Director for Infectious Disease, explains what to do if diagnosed with COVID at home. 

Obviously, people should follow CDC recommendations. If you are diagnosed with COVID at home, you should isolate yourself. 

If you are without fever and overall feeling better at day five of isolation, you are allowed to leave your home. However, the recommendation is for you to wear a well-fitted mask for an additional five days. Avoid at risk individuals and crowded situations.
