An area we’re seeing more and more about is post-COVID syndrome, or what we call long-haulers. There’s a significant amount of people who have recovered from COVID-19 and are out of isolation, but still have lingering symptoms.
Dr. Joe Gastaldo, System Medical Director of Infectious Diseases at OhioHealth, says the majority of these people will get better over time with supportive care, but this is still an area that we have much to learn.
