What Side Effects Can I Expect From The COVID-19 Vaccine?

In this Fast Facts, Joe Gastaldo, MD is addressing the reported side effects to the vaccines and how to help manage any discomfort.

There are three safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines available. There are some minor side effects that have been reported. The most common are pain and discomfort at the injection site, headache and low grade fever.

Dr. Gastaldo advises everyone to get vaccinated and stay well hydrated. If the symptoms appear, it’s okay to take Tylenol a few hours after your shot.

The symptoms generally stop after 24 hours.
