Will There Be A COVID Reprieve?

https://vimeo.com/683504196/0944feaaa3

Joe Gastaldo, MD, System Medical Director for Infectious Diseases predicts what is next for the COVID pandemic and if it’s safe to resume many activities.

It’s spring 2022, and our COVID cases are petering out. Dr. Gastaldo believes we will have a COVID reprieve this spring and summer.

Obviously, there’s some things on the horizon that we always have to pay attention to, and hopefully, we have the infrastructure in place to identify new variants. There is a potential for a new variant or subvariant, as SARS Coronavirus-2 is an RNA virus, and these viruses do mutate.

It could be that we will deal with another variant sometime in 2022. We just do not know yet.

Nonetheless, we will have a nice reprieve this spring and summer, and Dr. Gastaldo encourages us to challenge ourselves to go out and do something to focus on our self-resiliency.
